With over twenty years experience in the local real estate market, Joann has become an expert in working with clients with very individual and special needs. Her clients often come from direct referrals from previous clients, many of whom she has represented in multiple transactions. Her relationship with the real estate community is strong and well established. Her particular strength is the most intangible, yet most important quality – the ability to reflect and demonstrate competence, judgement and honesty in negotiations and to make the transaction close successfully.

Career Prior to Real Estate

Joann has an interesting and diverse background. After graduating from NYU and attending Harvard and the University of Michigan, she worked in promotion and research at Columbia Records, the Tonight Show and NBC News. She and her husband, Paul, a literary agent, moved from New York to California in 1969, where they made their home first in La Jolla, then in Del Mar.
